My poetry manuscript El próximo desierto won the III Premio de Literatura “Ciudad y Naturaleza” José Emilio Pacheco.

This prize recognizes literary works that address the ecological crisis of the present from an interdisciplinary perspective that blurs the lines between genres, and between the literary arts and scientific research. Here are the contest guidelines and here is the press release announcing the verdict.

The award is sponsored by the Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara (FIL), the Universidad de Guadalajara, the future Museo de Ciencias Ambientales, and various government organizations from Jalisco, Mexico.

More details coming soon!
